Saudi to restart in-person classes for primary and kindergarten students from January 23

Students who cannot attend school due to health related issues are allowed to continue with remote learning via different government platforms

Dubai, Jan 09, 2022: Saudi Arabia will resume in-person classes for students of primary and kindergarten from January 23.

Students who cannot attend school due to health related issues are allowed to continue with remote learning via different government platforms, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia have announced.

The Ministries have said that the decision has been taken looking at the success of earlier return of secondary and intermediate students to class attendance. In-person classes for secondary and intermediate students started in late August and since then kindergarten and primary students have been continuing learning online.

It is mandatory to be vaccinated against COVID-19 for accessing all public and private schools, technical training institutions and universities.
