Education Ministry launches online training programme for English language teachers in Saudi

The certification is recognised by schools and language teaching organisations across the world

Dubai, Jan 11, 2022: The Ministry of Education and The British Council have together launched an online training programme for English language teachers in Saudi Arabia.

The NILE Institute allows participants to have tutor-led training. Each course in the programme is designed and run by an expert tutor and has a maximum of 16 participants. The training leads to certification recognised by schools and language teaching organisations across the world.

The programme gives an opportunity to participant teachers to work with their peers from other countries. Teachers will also get to develop essential skills and competency. The first phase will involve training of English language teachers across the nation. Later this will be expanded to cover all.

The courses include a range of multimedia and bespoke activities, with tools developed by a team of teacher trainers and digital experts to recreate the interaction and engagement expected in a face-to-face teacher development course.

With a successful completion of a NILE online course, teachers get a certificate which is formally and officially aligned to The Eaquals Framework for Language Teacher Training & Development and the Cambridge English Teaching Framework.

This certification is part of the professional development plan of language teachers from over 45 countries and valued by employers and managers worldwide.
