High school students from across the UAE immersed themselves in future-focused disciplines at the Future Makers Summer Camp, gaining hands-on exposure to university life and emerging career pathways in fields ranging from AI and cybersecurity to entrepreneurship and sustainable design
Dubai, Jul 13, 2026: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) concluded its Future Makers Summer Camp 2026, welcoming 375 high school students from across the UAE for three immersive days of experiential learning aimed at inspiring the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, designers, creators and future leaders.
Hosted at CUD’s City Walk campus, the programme offered participants a practical introduction to university life while exposing them to future-focused disciplines through interactive workshops, collaborative challenges and hands-on sessions facilitated by the university’s academic experts.

The camp allowed students to explore emerging fields including engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, business, entrepreneurship, architecture, interior design, psychology, sustainability, public health, communication and media, and the creative industries. Activities were structured to develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills, while providing meaningful insights into potential academic and career pathways.
Ahmed El Mahdy, Student Recruitment Manager at Canadian University Dubai says, “Choosing a university is one of the most important decisions a student will make. The Future Makers Summer Camp was designed to give students an authentic experience of university life while helping them explore the opportunities that lie ahead. We were incredibly proud to see how receptive, curious and engaged our campers were throughout the programme. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to embrace every experience made this year’s camp truly memorable.”

The programme was enriched by contributions from distinguished industry leaders who offered real-world perspectives on entrepreneurship, innovation and start-up development. Featured speakers included Ceaser Medel and Corey Lanzing, entrepreneurs, venture builders and strategic partners of the CUD Incubator, along with Marcin Lapa, an international start-up mentor and business strategist.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of the Future Makers Summer Camp was seeing how naturally students embraced innovation and entrepreneurial thinking,” says Medel. According to him, it is this curiosity, willingness to ask questions and enthusiasm for solving real-world challenges that demonstrate the tremendous potential of the next generation. “Experiences like these encourage young people to think beyond traditional career paths and recognise that they can become innovators, founders, and changemakers,” he adds.
The initiative was made possible through the dedication of Canadian University Dubai’s recruitment team, faculty members, student ambassadors, professional staff and industry partners.
