Qatar to resume in-person classes from Jan 30

To enter the school premises, all students are required to take a weekly rapid antigen test at home

Dubai, Jan 26, 2022: All public and private schools and nurseries in Qatar will resume in-person classes from Jan 30, 2022. In the announcement made by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Qatar, it is said that the classes will resume with 100% capacity while keeping the safety guidelines in place.

The decision was made after consulting with the Ministry of Public Health and evaluating the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

To enter the school premises, all students are required to take a weekly rapid antigen test at home. The test should not be of more than 48 hours before returning to school. The report must be signed by the guardian to confirm that the home examination has been done during the weekend (Friday and Saturday) of each week.

Only affiliated schools can provide rapid antigen testing devices to their students. Guardians can receive the testing devices from schools from January 27, 2022.

The Ministry of Public Health will also conduct checks to ensure that schools are adhering to health and safety precautionary measures
