Saudi students to attend exams in schools

Elementary and Kindergarten students in the region are returning to school starting Jan 23

Dubai, Jan 19, 2022: Students from Saudi Arabia will attend exams in schools. The announcement was made by the Saudi Ministry of Education (MoE).

The Saudi MoE has exempted teachers from attendance who cannot come to schools. Activities that cannot guarantee social distancing have been excluded, says a guide distributed to educational supervisors and school principals by MoE.

Elementary and Kindergarten students in the region are returning to school starting January 23.

The Ministry will monitor the maintenance and cleaning of schools and secure all needs and equipment for school buildings while providing schools with sanitizer and face masks. The Ministry will also monitor safety systems and alarms and ensure the sanitisation of school buses.

Students with symptoms of COVID-19 infection can attend online classes through the electronic platform Madrasati.

Physical attendance will be applicable first to remote areas as the cases of COVID-19 are lesser there. Schools will not be allowed to have morning assemblies.
