Social distancing rules dropped in Saudi classrooms

The four-tier mechanism by which students’ attendance is scheduled and divided into groups will also be canceled

Dubai, March 14, 2022: The Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia has issued a directive to all its departments in the region to lift the social distancing rule between students in classrooms. The cancellation of social distancing will come into effect from the beginning of the third academic term and will be applicable to students at all levels in classrooms, sports, playground activities and extracurricular activities. 

Meanwhile, the ministry has also confirmed that the four-tier mechanism by which students’ attendance is scheduled and divided into groups (A,B,C & D) will also be cancelled.
