Riyadh, July 10, 2023:  Saudi Arabia is set to host the highly anticipated National STEM Education Summit in September bringing together industry leaders and experts in the field of education. 

The Summit aims to advance Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, fostering innovation and preparing Saudi youth for the challenges of the future. 

The two-day conference organised by IBEFORUM will be held from September 19 – 20, 2023 and will focus on promoting collaboration and sharing best practices to enhance the quality of STEM education across Saudi Arabia and inspire a new generation of Saudi innovators. Renowned educators, researchers, policymakers and industry leaders from around the world are expected to participate. 

The event will feature a diverse range of engaging presentations, interactive workshops and panel discussions led by esteemed experts in the field. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights into cutting-edge teaching methods, curriculum development and the integration of emerging technologies in STEM education. 

The Saudi Government has allocated 195 billion Saudi Riyals from its current general budget for the education sector. Saudi Arabia has made significant strides in recent years to strengthen its focus on STEM education, recognising its importance in fostering economic growth and global competitiveness. Saudi has actively promoted the integration of STEM subjects in schools and universities, equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary for the jobs of tomorrow. 

The education market of Saudi Arabia is the largest in GCC, with about 300, 000 students in kindergarten, 5.5 million in primary education, 1.4 million in higher education and 128,000 in technical erucation.  

The Saudi STEM Education Conference will provide an unparalleled opportunity for educators, researchers, policymakers and industry professionals to network, learn and contribute to the advancement of STEM education in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
