Qatar declares school working hours for 2022

The decision has been taken in accordance with the country’s preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Dubai, Oct 05, 2022: The Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education has declared the working hours of students and staff in public and private schools from November 1 to 17, 2022. The decision has been taken in accordance with the country’s preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The working hours of governmental and private schools will be from 7 am until 12 noon.

Students’ working hours in governmental and private schools from November 1-3 will be from 7 am until 12 noon. Staff and students in private nurseries and education centres for people with disabilities will have current working hours before and during the World Cup too.

From November 6-17, at the end of the first semester exams, students’ working hours in public schools and private schools that apply national standards will be from 9am until 11am.

The mid-year vacation will be from November 20 to December 22, 2022.
