Queen’s Qatar Opens its Doors to its First Students in Al Markhiya, Doha

Doha, Oct 2, 2024: A new British Curriculum school Queen’s Qatar has opened with the first cohort of students from FS1 to Year 9 starting school today.

The school owned and operated by Artemis Education is the latest addition to Doha’s growing education ecosystem and aims to develop ‘purposeful, proactive learners who are ready to face the challenges of an ever-evolving world’.

Located in Al Markhiya, the school will be headed by its founding principal, Ann Djedid, an international educator with over 30 years of experience. Her background spans roles in teaching, school leadership, and curriculum development across the Middle East and Africa.

“Our aim is to create a school where every student feels empowered, inspired, and supported to reach their fullest potential. We are committed to fostering an environment that not only values academic achievement but also promotes empathy, creativity, and a strong sense of community,” says Ann Djedid, Founding Principal of Queen’s Qatar.

The school will follow the British curriculum and will host a modern campus with facilities designed to support both academic and extracurricular activities, technology-enhanced classrooms, specialised labs, art and music studios, and comprehensive sports facilities.
