UAE schools lead the way to support cancer patients

Over 100 packets of hair were collected for cancer patients
Students, teachers and parents come forward to donate 100 packets of hair to aid cancer patients in a hair donation drive

Dubai, Jan 19, 2022: Hair oil brand Dabur Amla collaborates with five schools in the UAE for a hair donation campaign for cancer patients. The schools include The Grammar School, New Indian Model – Garhoud, Gems Winchester – Jebel Ali, Dubai Modern Education School and Salman Al Farsi School.

Over 100 packets of hair were collected between all five schools as the campaign received an encouraging response from students, parents and staff.

The campaign was launched in October 2020 to encourage women to donate hair in support of cancer patients. The campaign has returned this year with an aim to raise awareness and inspire the younger generation in the region.

Rohit Jaiswal, COO, Dabur International says,“Our tie-up with schools worked best as we connected with the younger generation directly to raise awareness, and encouraged students to donate their hair for a noble cause.”

Karen Robinson, Principal, New Indian Model School, Dubai says, “With this association our aim is to teach our children to give and care selflessly. Cancer has over the decades become the most concerning and life-threatening disease lest we forget the physical pain and emotional trauma it brings along. If we make our children aware of its side effects and the difference they can make, there’ll be more smiles even amidst pain.”
