Textbook authored by Dubai teachers is now IB DP Resource

The textbook, co-authored by two Dwight School Dubai teachers, will be incorporated as a core resource for the IB Business Management Diploma Programme across the UAE 

Dubai, Nov 8, 2023: An International Baccalaureate (IB) Business Management textbook authored by two teachers from Dubai will be incorporated as a core resource for IB Diploma students across the UAE. The textbook Business Management for the IB Diploma was co-published by Peter Atkins, Senior Examiner for the International IB Diploma Programme (DP), Associate Head of Upper School, DP Coordinator and Economics and Business Management Teacher at Dwight School Dubai, and Dr Hareem Navaid, Head of Mathematics and Business Management Teacher at Dwight School Dubai, in collaboration with educational publishing company, Pearson Education. 

The textbook features an array of captivating topics within the IB Business Management syllabus, including categories and classifications of businesses, financial knowledge and operations, human resource management, marketing knowledge and more. The textbook is currently available worldwide and has been incorporated into the Dwight School Dubai’s curriculum and into other IB curriculum schools for the current academic year. 

The Business Management for the IB Diploma textbook has been meticulously conceptualised over one year, with unwavering dedication from Dr Navaid and Atkins to ensure IB Diploma Programme students are best supported with the redesigned IB Business Management curriculum. The textbook is built around the main functional areas of business, including human resource management, finance and accounts, marketing and operations management, all linked to the key concepts of change, sustainability, ethics and creativity.
