Gillian Hammond has been appointed the new principal at the Aspen Heights British School

Hammond has more than 25 years of experience in the education sector, including a long tenure in the UAE 

Abu Dhabi, Apr 29, 2025: Aspen Heights British School, a part of the International Schools Partnership (iSP), has announced the appointment of Gillian Hammond as its new Principal for the 2025-2026 academic year.   

Hammond joins Aspen Heights British School from the Repton Family of Schools, where she served as Chief Education Officer of Excella and Principal at three Repton schools. She has more than two and a half decades of experience in the education sector. 

“I am thrilled to join Aspen Heights British School and be a part of the prestigious iSP family,” says Hammond. “I am passionate about creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential. I look forward to working closely with the students, staff and parents to build upon the school’s existing strengths and help create an even brighter future for all.”  

Hammond takes over leadership of the school from Emma Shanahan who announced her departure after eight years.
