No face masks needed outdoors at Dubai Schools

Wearing masks indoors however is still compulsory

Dubai, March 02, 2022: The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced that no face masks are required at schools in Dubai. The new set of guidelines that falls under the new updated safety standards, applies to universities and early childhood centres as well.

Furthermore, children, students and staff who are considered close contacts but have no COVID-19 symptoms are not required to isolate and can continue attending classes.

However, KHDA has said that wearing masks indoors is still compulsory.

Maintaining physical distancing, regular sanitisation, contact tracing by health and safety officers, still remains the same along with students and staff complying with safety standards given by Government authorities.

Close contact to return to school only if they are free of symptoms, and positive COVID cases must isolate for 10 days.
