Riyadh, May 15, 2024: Misk Schools has launched a new internship programme for its Grade 9 and 11 students. Designed to provide career insights and real-world workplace experience, the programme is supported by some of the Saudi Arabia’s leading national and international businesses.

By partnering with major corporate players, the aim is to cultivate essential skills, strengthen university applications, prepare students for professional success and ultimately, position them to emerge as leaders on the global stage.

Partners, including the Saudi Esports Federation, SAB Invest, Ma’aden, Jacobs, Laitham and Watkins, Hassana, CEER and The Helicopter Company collectively operate across the e-sports, finance, mining, construction, legal, automotive and aviation sectors.

According to Misk Schools’ Director General, Dr Steffen Sommer, “This programme will help to connect education with enterprise, reflecting a forward-thinking approach to modernising curricula.”

Internships are an integral part of the Misk Schools Diploma.

Students undertake two weeks internships, during which they shadow senior executives, receive coaching on resumé writing and interview techniques, and learn about professional etiquette. They are also expected to actively engage, making a meaningful contribution by tackling genuine business tasks.

Following each internship, students are required to complete a thesis, evaluating outcomes and conducting an in-depth analysis of essential skills needed for success within the host organisation.
