Kidzink wins three Iconic Awards for designs conceived and manufactured in Dubai
Dubai, October 9, 2025: Kidzink, the UAE-headquartered global educational design and manufacturing firm, has won three Iconic Awards 2025 for school seating furniture. Designed and manufactured in Dubai, Kidzink’s award-winning pieces are already in classrooms across the region and world, demonstrating how UAE innovation is shaping learning environments globally.
The honours went to three original Kidzink designs: The Think Tree, a sculptural seating and learning hub encouraging creativity and collaboration; Peas in a Pod, a modular and playful seating designed for community, flexibility and social interaction; and Step Up, a dynamic, multi-level seating solution supporting both learning and engagement.
The recognition marks Kidzink’s first international furniture award wins and, with three distinctions in one night, further strengthens its position as one of the world’s leading school furniture designers and manufacturers with a growing global footprint, including operations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Singapore.

The Iconic Awards, organised annually by the German Design Council, spotlight the world’s best achievements across architecture, interiors, communication, concepts and product design. As winners in the seating furniture product category, Kidzink’s award-winning projects will stand alongside the world’s most innovative designs in the Iconic directory, and are now automatically nominated for the German Design Award 2026.
The latest achievement follows Kidzink’s German Design Award 2025 win earlier this year for its Mangrove Café project with Taaleem, recognised for boldly reimagining the traditional school canteen.
“Winning three awards reflects how UAE innovation is now leading the way globally in education design and manufacturing,” says Charlotte Borghesi, Founder and General Manager of Kidzink. “For us, this is about more than design. It is about shaping the future of learning environments globally, from science labs to university furniture, that foster creativity, connection and well-being at every stage of education.”

“This honour also recognises the dedication of our design and manufacturing teams – both in the UAE and beyond – and their ability to deliver high-quality school furniture for projects across the GCC and internationally,” adds Paolo Borghesi, Co-Founder and Director of Kidzink.
Kidzink’s global recognition comes just weeks after unveiling the Enriched Environment Model™ at the prestigious Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture (ANFA) Conference in California. Developed with sister company Koda, the world-first educational design system is based on pedagogy, neuroarchitecture and environmental psychology research. The model offers educators and designers a practical framework for aligning school design with how students truly learn and thrive.
