Dubai, Sept 14, 2026: More than 50 higher education institutions from across the region, including institutions in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, have already registered for the Ellucian Middle East & Africa Regional Conference, taking place in Riyadh from November 3–4, 2026.

Hosted by Ellucian, a global technology leader focused exclusively on higher education, the two-day conference will take place at voco® Riyadh under the theme ‘Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Leaders.’

Ellucian partners with approximately 3,000 institutions across 50 countries, bringing more than 50 years of higher education expertise to technology designed to meet the needs of institutions and their students. The regional conference will bring this community together to consider the forces reshaping higher education and how institutions can prepare for what comes next for the sector in the region.

What will higher education leaders discuss?

Across the region, institutions are balancing ambitious national agendas, changing student expectations, evolving workforce needs and rapid advances in technology.

The conference programme will address priorities including AI, SaaS modernisation, connected data, operational efficiency and student success. Higher education leaders and Ellucian experts will examine what these developments mean for institutions across the Middle East and Africa, with a focus on applying technology to institutional priorities and better student outcomes.

What can attendees expect?

The two-day programme will feature keynotes, customer stories, strategic discussions and opportunities to see innovation in action.

Attendees will hear directly from institutions about their experiences, explore the growing role of AI in higher education and consider approaches to modernisation that can help institutions become more connected and responsive.

The event’s agenda will also create opportunities to meet colleagues from across the region and strengthen relationships within the Ellucian higher education community.

Why should you attend?

For Vice Chancellors, CIOs, CFOs, COOs, Registrars, Deans and IT leaders, the conference offers dedicated time to look beyond immediate priorities and focus on the future.

Attendees can explore new approaches to AI and modernisation, learn from institutions tackling similar challenges and engage directly with Ellucian experts. They can also build relationships with peers from across the Middle East and Africa and take ideas back to their institutions.

Ultimately, the conference is about bringing the regional higher education community together to learn from one another and consider how technology can help institutions move forward while keeping students at the centre.
