The new AI Lab with Oman’s Ministry of Education  aims to equip students and educators with advanced AI-ready devices to support national goals under Oman Vision 2040 

Ibri, Oman, July 09, 2026: ASUS and Intel in association with Suhail Bahwan Group have joined hands to set up an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab at the Directorate-General of Education in Al Dhahirah Governorate. 

AI Lab supports Oman’s ongoing efforts to upskill students, empower educators and foster research and. AI plays a key role in Oman Vision 2040. 

The facility is equipped with ASUS’s AI-ready devices, AI PCs, and all-in-one (AiO) solutions for classrooms and labs, alongside high-performance systems for advanced research and powered by Intel Core Ultra processors which incorporate AI acceleration through three engines — CPU, GPU, and NPU — enabling creativity, productivity, and professional-grade performance. 

The lab benefits from the combined expertise of ASUS’s hardware innovation, Intel’s AI-optimized technologies, and Bahwan Projects and Telecoms’ local knowledge. 

Dr. Faisal Al Busaidi, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Information Technology, says, “We greatly value ASUS, Intel and Bahwan’s sincere efforts in implementing the AI Lab in Al Dhahirah Governorate.” 

The AI Lab ams to support innovation and AI capacity building in accordance with Oman’s Vision 2040 and the country’s National Program for Artificial Intelligence. Madeleine Hung, General Manager for East EMEA & META Commercial System BG, ASUS, says its AI-ready solutions will be “empowering teachers and students across the region to explore the limitless possibilities of AI in their classrooms and research centers.”
