Lord Coe to provide strategic advice on elite sport, well-being and the role of physical excellence in future-ready education
Dubai, May 22, 2025: Lord Sebastian Coe, two-time Olympic gold medallist and President of World Athletics, has been appointed Special Advisor for Sports at the GEMS School of Research and Innovation (SRI).
Lord Coe brings vast global experience in elite sport, performance, youth development and well-being. He was former Chair of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Organising Committee, and current President of World Athletics. He is also a former UK Member of Parliament and House of Lords.
As Special Advisor for Sports, Lord Coe will work with the school’s senior leadership team to ensure that excellence in physical education and well-being is fully integrated into the learning experience.
