Horizon English School attributes retention rate to its well-being programme 

Dubai, Mar 7, 2024: A Dubai-based school has announced that it has upheld a 90% teacher retention rate over the past three years. The Horizon English attributes the high retention rate since 2021 to its well-being Programme implemented across all areas of the school. The programme, which is based on the school’s own psychology model and the ‘Learn it, Live it, Teach it, Embed it’ strategy, draws inspiration from the PERMA model’s five ways to wellbeing: Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Achievement.  

The programme extends beyond theoretical frameworks, incorporating practical elements. Throughout the year, teachers and staff are invited to partake in different well-being initiatives designed to bolster their overall wellness such as personalised well-being coaching sessions,n, Ramadan beach run mornings and fitness challenges.
