UAE emerges as global hub for higher education

For a country that founded its first university not so long ago, the UAE has fared remarkably well in higher education, with 11 of its universities featured in the global top 1,000 rankings  

The UAE is emerging as a frontrunner in higher education in 2023, driven by strategic efforts. Policies such as The National Strategy for Higher Education 2030 are acknowledging the significance of educating the country’s future talent to drive the UAE’s economic development and achieve its national goals. The recent unveiling of the D33 Dubai Economic Agenda has further reinforced this approach, highlighting the higher education sector’s growth as a crucial strategic priority for the coming decade.  

With growth in university rankings, a focus on international collaboration and diversification, emphasis on student-centred learning and integration of technology, the UAE’s higher education sector is poised for significant growth.
