The IB school is scheduled to open in August 2026 

Dubai, Jan 14, 2026: Ruth Burke has been appointed Founding Principal of Ambassador International Academy (AIA) Mankhool. Operated by Bridge Education, AIA Mankhool is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school scheduled to open in August 2026.  

Burke brings more than 30 years of experience across leading schools in Ireland, the UK and the UAE. She has previously held senior leadership roles at Swiss International Scientific School Dubai, Deira International School, GEMS Wellington International School and Jumeirah English Speaking School.  

Speaking on the school’s vision, Burke says, “AIA Mankhool is focused on developing confident, curious learners who are prepared for the opportunities and challenges of the future. Through inquiry-led learning and global perspectives, students are encouraged to think critically, collaborate effectively and engage with the world around them to grow as compassionate leaders and engaged global citizens.”
