Indian Schools in Oman elect new board members

The newly elected Board members are now tasked with overseeing the direction and policies that will impact the Indian school community in Oman

The new board is set to commence the term on April 1, 2025 

Muscat, Jan 18, 2025: Indian Schools in Oman have elected a new leadership team following elections, where parents voted for five new members to serve on the Board of Directors (BoD). 

The elections saw a strong turnout of parents, who cast their votes until 5pm, playing a key role in influencing the direction of education for more than 46,000 students enroled in 21 Indian schools across the country. 

The five newly elected members are Shameer P.T.K, Damodar R. Katti, Syed Ahmad Salman, Krishnendhu S and Nidheesh Kumar P.P. A total of eight candidates contested for the five available positions on the BoD. 

The newly elected Board members are now tasked with overseeing the direction and policies that will impact the large Indian school community in Oman.  

The new board is set to commence the new term on April 1, 2025.
