The installation of the new flight simulator at Khalifa University will provide students with a hands-on experience
The simulator has been installed in partnership with Boeing

Abu Dhabi, Nov 22, 2023: Khalifa University of Science and Technology, in partnership with Boeing, has installed a flight simulator to support students studying aerospace engineering at the university. Boeing has been supporting the university’s aerospace engineering curriculum since 2020.

Kuljit Ghata-Aura, Boeing President – Middle East, Turkiye and Africa says that the installation of the new flight simulator will provide students with a hands-on experience that will enrich their learning and support student research projects.

“By leveraging Boeing’s knowledge and expertise, Khalifa University offers students an opportunity to develop their skills,” adds Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Executive Vice President of Khalifa University.

The educational flight simulator will serve as a familiarisation tool for junior undergraduate students and a study and research facility for senior undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The simulator is equipped with the latest commercial aircraft controls, enhancing students’ understanding of aircraft operation, avionics safety and flight dynamics. It has a built-in editor for aerodynamic geometry and airfoil data dynamics.

As part of the partnership with Boeing, a 3D-printing composite materials facility has also been launched at the university.
